
Uganda
is a beautiful country with an unrivalled variety of natural wonders for the visitors to enjoy. Climb
the fabled "Mountains of the Moon", take a boat trip up the Nile to the spectacular "Murchison Falls",
visit the Murchison Falls National Park, which has the most intense concentration of animals along the
river, visit the source of the river Nile in Jinga, or visit Bwindi impenetrable forest to track the rare
mountain gorillas, and families of chimpanzees.
DAY 01 |
Arrival at Entebbe International Airport. Transfer to Kampala with the free Sheraton Hotel bus shuttle
and the drive takes approx. 45 minutes. Overnight at Sheraton Kampala Hotel. |
DAY 02 |
(B/L) After breakfast at 9:00 a.m. proceed for a day trip to Jinja, to visit the
Source of the river Nile, Bujagali Falls, Owen Falls Dam, etc. Lunch can be enjoyed at Hotel Triangle
(new annex). Clients could also opt to book one day of White water rafting on the River Nile. Overnight
at Sheraton Kampala Hotel, "The garden in the city of Kampala 4-star Hotel. |
DAY 03 |
(B/L/D) Leave Kampala after breakfast and proceed west to Queen Elizabeth National
Park via Masaka with a stop at the equator for photographs continue to Mbarara where lunch will be served
at the Lake View Hotel in Mbarara. Arrival at the lodge will be in the afternoon in time for Dinner
and overnight at Jacana Safari Lodge This is a luxury lodge consisting of wooden cottages / chalets
overlooking Nyamusingiri, a crater lake including swimming pool. |
DAY 04 |
(B/L/D)
After breakfast a morning game drive followed by a visit to the bird-hide on the Mweya peninsula. Picnic
lunch in the park near the crater area. In the afternoon at 3:00 or 5:00 p.m. there is an option to
do the launch (boat) trip on the Kazinga Channel, to see a variety of wildlife, hundreds of hippos,
crocodile and birds from a boat for two hours. Dinner and Overnight at Jacana Safari Lodge. |
DAY 05 |
(B/L/D) After breakfast at 7:00 a.m. there is a possibility to do the Chyambura
Gorge nature walk in the forest at 7.30 a.m. with chances of seeing chimpanzees and other primates (optional)
Return to Jacana for lunch.
It is possible to visit the nearby bat cave, snake pit or take a
walk near the lodge with a possibility to see a variety of birds. Afternoon at leisure near the swimming
pool. Dinner and Overnight at Jacana Safari Lodge. |
DAY 06 |
(B/L/D) Two days for Samburu National Game Reserve in Northern Kenya, featuring
several unique species of mammals and birds. Overnight at Sarova Shaba Lodge. |
DAY 07 |
(B/L/D)
Early breakfast then proceed to the Kibale Forest National Park about one hours drive for a nature walk
in the forest for about three hours with a chance of spotting a variety of monkeys, birds and flora.
(optional) Picnic lunch to be enjoyed somewhere in the forest In the afternoon there is also a possibility
to visit the Bigodi Swamp (optional) where one has also an opportunity to view more birds etc. Return
to Ndali Lodge. Dinner and overnight at Ndali Lodge. |
DAY 08 |
(B/L/D) Morning tour of Fort Portal town which will include a tour of the King's
Palace, Toro Royal Tombs, Virika Cathedral, etc. Lunch at Ndali Lodge and afternoon at leisure. Dinner
and overnight at Ndali Lodge. |
DAY 09 |
(B/L/D) After an early breakfast begin the journey to Murchison Falls National Park
at 8:00 a.m. The drive takes 8 - 10 hrs. A picnic lunch to be enjoyed en route before Masindi. The drive
will be through the Budongo Forest along Lake Albert and arrival at the camp will be in the evening.

DAY 10 |
(B/L/D) Breakfast at leisure enjoying the spectacular views on the River Nile spotting
many hippos and other animals. After lunch a bird walk around the vicinity of the camp and perhaps a
dip in the pool. A sun-downer cruise can be arranged with management (optional) Dinner and overnight
at the Nile Safari Camp. |
DAY 11 |
(B/L/D) After breakfast transfer up to Paraa for the 3 hour launch trip up to the-bottom
of the Falls to view hundreds of hippos, crocodile, and a variety of birds returning to Paraa around
midday. The vehicle will meet you on the north bank of the river for a game drive and picnic lunch in
the afternoon. Return to the south bank by ferry at approx. 6:00 p.m. and a further 45 mins. drive to
the camp. Dinner and overnight at the Nile Safari Camp. |
DAY 12 |
(B/L/D) After breakfast drive up to the top of the falls. Short walk around the
top of the falls from where you can walk down to the river's edge and see the waters narrow as they
are forced through a rocky cleft and plunge down 35 meters in a majestic cascade. A picnic lunch carried-
from the camp to be enjoyed somewhere near the falls. Proceed for the return journey to Kampala. The
drive takes approx. 6 - 7 hrs. depending on the road conditions. Continue for 45 kms to Entebbe. Overnight
at the Windsor Lake Victoria Hotel Entebbe. |
DAY 13 |
(B) DAY OF DEPARTURE If departure there is in the afternoon,
there is a possibility to tour the Uganda Wildlife Educational Centre (formerly called the Zoo) and
the beautiful Botanical gardens, all in a walking distance from the Windsor (approx. 15 minutes.) The
Windsor Hotel offers free airport transfers for all hotel guests. |
